Nothing much today except that I've got some stuffs that I feel that I have to get off my chest.


You know how us teens nowadays tease each other by calling names right?
I mean, there's the one that you use animal names. Maybe that person's surname happens to be say, "Quek". Then you go on call him a duck.
Then, there is the one about someone's looks. Perhaps that person has a dark complexion. & then you come along & call him "Bangla" or "Ah Neh".
Of course, there's the ever-popular "your mum, your dad" tease.
We go around everyday & teasing our friends with these methods. We have this mentality that because we do it everyday, the receiving end of such teasing would be used to it & maybe even laugh about it. But have we ever thought about what will happen if one day that person is in a bad mood or smth bad happened in his life & we unknowingly pass off such remarks?

Imaging this, somehow you just say, "Walau, why you do things like that one?! Go die luh you! Haha." & that person happens to be in a real bad mood & he took those remarks to heart & really went to commit suicide. Would you be able to take responsibilty for unknowingly causing someone's death? Would you be able to erase the thoughts of how you wish you could turn back time?
The one thing that people nowadays fail to see is that our tongue & the words that comes out of our mouths can have a very huge impact on the receiving end. If we said smth bad to that person or we gossip about that person behind his/her back, we could've most prolly just killed his/her dreams & perhaps his/her spirit. You could have also just broke that person's heart. & all these can happen in a flash, just by the words that we say. Certain ppl practice double standards & can be nice to one person at one point & be bad behind that person's back at another point.
I'll end here but think about it people, wouldn't it be great if one day people could learn to stop such gossiping & uneccessary teasings & actually learn to love & appreciate each other?

Gyea, finally got some spare time to blog a little. Exam periods are always hectic if you haven't notice.
Currently revising Physics & Geog. Really satisfied with my History paper today, confident that I'll pass it somehow.
Hopefully, the remaining papers (Phy, Geog, Chem, Maths2) would be relatively okay for average passes. I need them grades badly.
Anyways, ETF pre-released another song off their new album coming out later this mth. It's the title track of the album called "This War Is Ours". For fans of ETF, this is part 2 of their previous song, "The Guillotine". Strangely, both parts are inspired by the XBox game, Halo. Go figure.

Follow-up with Fee at 2pm.
Prayer Meeting at 4pm.
Combined CG at 5pm. Heard its a very important one.

Been feeling refreshed recently, have no idea why.
But at the same time, I feel like I've lost touch with some ppl around me.
Perhaps its the exams? Or maybe its smth else...

Study session with Cherm today, wasn't really productive I must say but oh well.
Brought her to church afterwards & what ya know, she actually likes it.
Hopefully, she'll be planted in church soon.

Anyways, the reason I'm blogging today (after what, 3 wks of absence?) is that I've been observing & noticed something. Honestly speaking, I believe that the previous generation of people have loads of talents to actually make impacts in the world today. Team S'pore won our first Olympic medals after 48 yrs of trying, Phelps won 8 medals & earned a place in the record books & S.Africa won the Rugby World Cup against England even though they were the underdogs.
The current generation of people are no doubt a talented bunch too. Young kids forming bands & making music with purpose, whether is it about global or personal issues. Young atheletes training hard & eventually making it to the national team & making their nations proud by putting in effort & putting on a wonderful performance on an international level.
No one in this world was born by accident, ladies & gentlemen. Everyone was born with a purpose in life but why are we avoiding it? Why are we wasting our talents on stuffs that most prolly won't do you much good?
Great leaders have come & go, they've made impacts all over the world & contributed to making the world a better place no matter their field of professionalism, be it music, politics or sports.
We're worth much more than this world got to offer, I believe everyone knows that. Its just a matter of whether you choose to accept the fact or not.

I think its about time our generation stepped up, what about you?

Anyways, today's my folk's anniversary (how 'bout a round of applause).
Had dinner at Iciban Sushi. Pretty filling I must say.
Walked around AMK Hub for awhile before heading home.
Revising some english work currently.
Gonna turn in soon.

Its currently an hour past midnight & I can't sleep, I've no idea why.
Might as well finish up holiday hmwk & some tuition work too.

Maths remedial at 11am tmrw.
& oh, I missed Chem remedial today. I didn't know until I read Veron's blog.

I'm so hungry right now.
& oh, not to mention cold.

She's prolly on a quarter-way of her flight back to Cuba by now.
Kinda regretted not seeing her off, honestly.
Even though we've only met once & we only know each other for a few months, I guess I've grown attached to her, not in that way though. Its the kind of feeling you get when you've got a best friend who's like your close relative or smth, ya know?

Stayed at home the whole day today.
Did physics TYS & used pc.
Speaking of which, I just broke my 'computer-fasting' programme.

Maths tuition in another 2 hrs.
Prolly should get smth to eat now. I'm starving.
